Amy Urquhart - Anissa Mayhew

Amy Urquhart is an editor, freelance writer, wife, mother and gardener living in Bowmanville, Ontario. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English from the University of Western Ontario in 2001 and continues to study Psychology on a part-time basis at Trent University. Amy has been a professional in the publishing industry since 2001.

Amy has been writing weblogs for several years, including her personal blogs, Assertagirl and Playing in the Dirt. She recently launched a new personal site, where she has merged writing of her interests and passions at Hearts into Home. Amy also contributes to the popular "anti-lifestyle" collaborative blog, Aiming Low. Recently, she has been telling of adventures in home co-ownership, her marriage to Graham, the birth of their first son Nathan and the management of their first home together.
